I'm in a similar place Meg...maybe coming out the other side a little. Let me know if I can do anything for you. I know lots of people love you and you are not alone, also as you know (but we don't always feel the same amount), that Jeus loves you and the Holy Spirit is always with you. I am living alone for the first time so I am telling myself the same thing quite often...

wow...I made a vow of celibacy for one year on October 19, 2009. I totally know what you mean when you say the LORD did it you just obeyed. The same here...truly...I also am 27 years old. I turned 27 in December and I have at times been like "Really LORD but I need to have babies soon!!" He smiles at me... It has been a beautiful journey with highs and lows but a tremendous amount of peace as I walk with the Lover of my soul...I would love to keep in touch as we both walk out this journey...I will pray for you...

Love this post! I don't get the nesting instinct - I see the birth closing in ahead & I rest. Unfortunately this is also my attitude with the Lord's coming. I agree with your prayer. Amen!

Cool. Yesterday at a church Prayer Teams meeting (our small group of teams of 2 who fast & pray 1 day each week for people's confidential requests), we usually discuss how things are going in terms of being consistent with our weekly prayer times & fasting, we share struggles, & remind each other that God's grace is overflowing for us each & every time we err.
Someone had a really cool picture, or 2 pictures that went together: First, he saw God the way we think He looks at us - with binoculars, inspecting every little mistake or error we make. Then he saw God as He really is, just looking at us without binoculars. He sees us as we are but He's not picking us apart error by error. He just looks upon us with love. :)

Good word. God is faithful and for us! Yes! He is our refuge and a very present help in times of trouble.
Thanks so much for the reminder. Sometimes my days get too busy ... and yet Peter and I have the freedom to listen to a podcast by Bill Johnson or sing worship songs to our Lord while we work as long as the drills and palm sanders aren't too loud! Nice!

I love poopie prayers. It's fun and enjoyable for our son and gets him to speak to the lord. To my son it's innocent humor with no disrespect. Some times he will call things poopie to mean that it's "cool". If he was older and really understood what "I pray to poopie Lord" meant, it would be different, but for now, it's just his way of relaxing.

Amen, Kevin.

It is in these simple relationships that God's unsearchable nature is unveiled to me so often...especially lately. Family, blood...and then eternal family or, most friends. The pangs of love and of hurt, of offense and of forgiveness run deep when it involves those to whom we are bound forever!

Like a sledgehammer hitting a nail...the revelations of a loyal, devoted friend in God/Jesus/the Holy Spirit hit me to the core. He's a God that does not run away, does not accuse...rather He wraps accepting, gentle arms around us...welcoming us in our weakness, even bidding us to come closer the weaker we feel.

WOW! That's single-minded focus and devotion. That's staying friendship.

Please...come Spirit of Elijah! We beseech you! We NEED this in our lives! We need the hearts of fathers and of children to be so deeply in love with You... to be You in each others' lives...to be willing to be transformed into your likeness, like a pliable metal melting into the shape of a beautiful mould.

Let us go deeper, FOTBWNY! Let us be that preciously, intricately shaped metal...each one in each of our own circles. And God, empower us, we pray. Help me...I pray.

A good reminder of His friendship. I think that's 1 of the things I tend to forget about. God is so multi-faceted & for some reason I forget the friend aspect of His character. Something for me to pray about I guess. Thank you Kev!
